Sea-salt Summer

I spent the beginning of the summer  happy, not knowing there is something that would wash away all the smiles and laughs I loved. This blog entry, however, focuses only in the beginning, the happy part. The latter would be shared when I'm ready... which is soon, I hope.

My day starts at 5:30 am preparing for summer class. At 6:30 my P.E. classmates and I would walk around the campus for hours. We would walk to Forestry and Jamboree taking note of our time and pulse rate. It's tiring, yes, but knowing that my unhealthy self finally has a tiny bit of healthy lifestyle in it makes me happy. We spent the last day evaluating; I lost around 3 pounds.

I would go to my next class after having breakfast which is more often than not, hotdog sandwich and pineapple juice. My NASC10 class is about the forest. One day I find myself caring for it and another, I couldn't just care less. Fast forward after class, I would sometimes rush to another building to have lunch with my friends. Other times, my 8-month younger Tita would text me to shoot her. These pictures are from one of  those times. She dyed my hair one afternoon and it is now deep hazel brown in color (see 3rd picture below).

Me and my awkward self.

Much love from me and the scorching summer heat,
Quennie.
